Often times it is beneficial to create “static” result pages that be linked to directly. This way you can construct URLs in any manner you would like. For example:
All Listings in London
http://yourwebsite.com/london/
- 1
- Visit Pages > Add New
- 2
- Insert the following shortcode in the description:
[jobs location=London]
- 3
- Assign the Listings Page Template in Page Attributes
Restaurants in London
http://yourwebsite.com/london/restaurants/
- 1
- Visit Pages > Add New
- 2
- Insert the following shortcode in the description:
[jobs location=London categories=restaurants selected_category=38]
— As of Listify 1.8 you must also pass theselected_category
ID. - 3
- Assign the Listings Page Template in Page Attributes
- 4
- Assign the London page as the Parent in Page Attributes
You can repeat this process with any parent/child relationship you would like. For a full list of available shortcode options click here.
No Filters
If you do not want to display search filters above these listings please do not use the [jobs show_filters=false]
parameter. Instead create a widgetized page and add the Listings widget with the necessary filters.
Regions
If you have “Filter by Region” enabled with WP Job Manager – Predefined Regions, you can pass selected_region=1, where 1 is the ID of the region term. [jobs selected_region=1]
FacetWP
Unfortunately this technique cannot be used with FacetWP.
